Aubergine (brinjal) is commonly a shiny purple-coloured fruit,
popular all over the world comes from a plant, which is native to India. It can be easily used  as  a substitute for meat as a wholesome bulk food.Also known as eggplant after the egg shaped white skinned variety. They can be added to many Indian dishes whole if using the baby ones, skinned they can be cooked down to a pulp to create a base for your dish.
