Spotlight on... Haxby Bakehouse
Haxby Bakehouse have been stocking our mixes for at least 6 years (possibly longer, we can't remember!), and they sell the best bread in Yorkshire!
Tim popped in to ask them a few questions:
How would you describe your business in two sentences?
Phil: We are an artisan bread and sourdough bakery, and delicatessen serving the town of Haxby. We focus on providing local produce whenever possible.
Apart from our packs, what is your
favourite thing you sell?
Phil: Obviously our bread is our passion! Our leaven and sourdough loaves are big sellers, and at lunchtimes we sell sandwiches made using our own bread. We are one of the few places where almost everything that goes into our lunchtime treats are locally sourced.
What do you tend to put in our packs when you make them?
Zoe: I usually put turkey thighs in them when I make them. It is tasty, very cheap, and very healthy!
Tina: A lot of our customers buy our home made Turkish-style flatbreads to eat with their curry.
