Chana Masala Curry Pack

Serves: 4 – 6 as a side Vegetarian Vegan

A traditional chickpea street food, which is popular in Rajasthan and Gujarat. The chickpeas are cooked in a thick, tangy tomato sauce, making a tasty dry side dish for any curry.

Try it with: Fava or butter beans for a different texture.

Shelf life & storage: The mix will last for up to 4 weeks in a fridge and for six months in a freezer. Once cooked the food will last for 2 days in a fridge and up to one month in a freezer.

  1. Gently heat 3 tbsp oil and fry 1 finely chopped onion till soft and translucent.
  2. Empty the pack into the pan with 3 fresh chopped tomatoes and 100ml water, then gently cook for 10 - 12 minutes.
  3. Add 2 x 400g tins chickpeas (drained) and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  4. Season and garnish with lemon juice.
