Malay Taste Sambal Oelek

A spicy Malaysian paste made from ground chillies.


This is a very traditional chilli paste which is used in cooking all over the Far East. The fiery heat of the chilli combined with the sharp tang of the vinegar give it a bold flavour that makes it wonderfully suited to use as a base for curries or as a spicy condiment. It can be spread thinly over steak or fish before grilling, or mixed with mayonnaise to make a tasty dip.

Ingredients:Water, Dried Chilli, Cane Vinegar, Sugar, Salt, Modified Corn Starch.
