Serve with: Dhansak or Kashmiri

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a sauce pan, add the spice sachet and fry for 2 - 3 minutes.
  2. Add the rice and mix well.
  3. Add 500ml cold water and a pinch of salt then bring to the boil.
  4. Cover and cook on a low heat for 10 minutes without lifting the lid.
  5. Leave to rest for 5 minutes off the heat with the lid still on.
  6. Toss grains gently with a fork and garnish with fried onions before serving.

Really good rice and easy to cook.When I normally cook rice it goes all lumpy but this rice is foolproof.if you want to make the rice perfectly, leave the lid on for 12 minutes and don't remove it.works brilliant this way.Came across this company in a shop in Harrogate and soon as I tried their curries I ordered 6 curries and 3 rice. Order the makhani you won't regret it.
