Gujarati Dhal Spice Mix
Cook Rafi’s version of this popular lentil recipe found in Gujarat, India’s famous vegetarian state.
Our Spice Mix creates a light and delicate lentil recipe with fresh flavours such as ginger and tomatoes.
Serve Rafi’s Gujarati Dhal with some fluffy rice and a simple salad like a Kachoombar.
Dhals (also known as dals/ daals) are an essential part of the Indian diet and a meal isn’t complete without it.
This North Indian lentil recipe was brought to the menu to add a lighter, more aromatic option. This is a great alternative to the very savoury South Indian recipes such as the Tarka Dhal or Sambhar.
Serve it with: Bhuna or Jalfrezi

The aroma that fills the house is wonderful. So tasty and very easy to make
Spicier than I expected but you can reduce amount of spice you add. Also took more liquid and linger to cook.
