Rafi's Air Fryer Onion Bhajias Recipe

Serves: 4 - 6 Ready in: 15 minutes

Introduction

Make our easy-to-use Onion Bhajia Spice Mix with these instructions for cooking in the air fryer.

Using an air fryer to make bhajias reduces the amount of oil used in the cooking process as we usually recommend shallow/deep frying them. This method is a lighter way to make your own bhajias at home.

Serve them as a starter or side dish with your favourite Rafi's Chutney.

Ingredients

 Serves 4 - 6

Rafi's Bhajia Spice Mix
1 onion (finely sliced)
Chopped Coriander
1 tbsp oil
125ml water

Instructions

  1. Empty pack into a large mixing bowl with one finely sliced onion (or other grated/sliced veg).

  2. Add 1 tbsp oil and some chopped coriander (if desired).

  3. Gradually add the water, mixing it well until the batter is smooth and thick. You will need less water than the pack asks for (125ml) since you want the Bhajias to retain their shape in the air fryer.

  4. Spoon the mixture into the air fryer, leaving some room between them.

  5. Cook for 8 minutes at 200°C.

  6. Serve with some Tamarind Chutney. Ready to serve, enjoy!
