Prawn and Pea Balti Curry

Rafi's Prawn and Pea Balti Curry Recipe

Serves: 2 - 3/4 - 6 Ready in: 30 minutes

Introduction

A tangy, tasty dish with savoury spices and sweet juicy prawns. Rafi’s Balti Curry Pack is a savoury, tangy, tomato-based curry perfect for scooping up with a chapati.

Ingredients

175ml water 300ml water
2 tsp Tomato Puree 1 tbsp Tomato Puree
1/2 tsp brown sugar 1 tsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp Cider Vinegar 1 tsp Cider Vinegar
350g prawns 700g prawns
150g frozen peas 300g frozen peas
1/2 red pepper 1 red pepper
Coriander to garnish Coriander to garnish
Salt to taste  Salt to taste 

Instructions

  1. Empty your Balti Curry Pack into a pan and toast the spices on a low/medium heat for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the water, tomato puree, brown sugar and cider vinegar. Cover with a lid and cook gently on a low heat for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Add the prawns and red pepper, mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Add the peas, continuing to cook for a further 3-4 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and the chopped coriander just before serving, enjoy!
