Brussels Sprouts and Ajwain

Use any leftover green vegetables with this simple recipe.

Brussels Sprouts and Ajwain

Serves: 4 | Suitable for vegetarians 

Introduction

This is another incredibly simple side dish which is brilliant to have up your
sleeve when you need to include some vegetables.

Ingredients

 Serves 4

2 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp Ajwain Seeds
2 cloves of garlic
300g shredded sprouts or other greens
1/2 tsp Turmeric
Salt 
Squeeze of lemon

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a wok, add the ajwain and garlic and fry over a medium heat for 30- 40 seconds.
  2. Add the sprouts and turmeric then fry for a further 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add 2-3 tsp of water and cook until it evaporates.
  4. Season to taste, and garnish with lemon juice.
