Buttered Spinach and Onion Recipe Rafi's Spicebox

Serves: 4  

Introduction

Comfort food at its most simple. Buttery onions and slightly spiced spinach makes a great, simple side to any meal. 

Serve alongside your favourite Curry Pack for a comforting and filling meal. 

Ingredients

 Serves 4

30g butter
1 red onion (sliced)
1 inch ginger (finely chopped)
1/2 tsp Chilli Powder
500g spinach
Salt to taste 

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a pan and then fry the onions and ginger in the butter until soft.
  2. Sprinkle over the chilli powder and stir well.
  3. Add the spinach to the pan and stir gently until completely wilted.
  4. Season to taste and serve.
