Kachoombar (Chopped Indian Salad)
A simple Indian salad packed full of vegetables.

Introduction
This is a fresh Parsi-style salad, perfect for adding a crunchy, zingy element to your meal.
It’s usually made with onion, tomato and cucumber, but here we have opted for radishes, onion and sweet pepper.
Ingredients
Serves 4 - 6 |
1/2 tsp Onion Seeds |
1/2 tsp Cumin Powder |
2 green chillies |
1 tomato |
1 onion |
1/4 cucumber |
1 lemon |
1/4 tsp salt |
1/4 tsp sugar |
Coriander leaves |
Mint leaves |
Instructions
- De-seed the cucumber, then finely chop all the veg.
- Toast the Onion Seeds in a tsp of oil until they start to pop.
- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
- Allow the mixture to rest till the sugar dissolves.
- Serve chilled.
