Pork Curry Rafi's Spicebox

Pork is a great meat to have in your curries. The high-fat content keeps the meat moist and tender, making a delicious pork curry.

Perfect Rafi’s Curry Packs for pork are Vindaloo, Xacutti, Malay Rendang and Madras.

We have recommended our favourite cuts of pork for curry and a Curry Pack for you to try them with.

Pork belly curry

Pork belly is a fatty cut of meat that creates a rich, succulent flavour when slow-cooked.

The Vindaloo is the perfect curry for some delicious pork belly as the acidity in the paste cuts through the fat in the pork. This is another great curry to pop in your slow cooker and let it do its thing.

Pork shoulder curry

Pork shoulder contains less fat than pork belly and it's a tougher cut that's perfect for slow cooking. It also has a more pronounced pork flavour than leaner cuts, like pork chops.

Our Xacutti is a rich and appetizing coconut-based dish that will complement the amazing flavours of pork shoulder or belly. The cider vinegar needed for this pack, will help break down the toughness of the meat. The Thai Red is another great curry to enjoy with pork with its smoky and savoury flavours helping to marinate the meat.

We’d love to hear if these tips have helped you in the kitchen. Let us know your feedback on our Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. We love to see your curry creations, so please send us your foodie photos across.
