A one pot rice and vegetable dish. Fragrant rice with a blend of aromatic garam masala and earthy turmeric, garlic and ginger.
Storage Information: Store in cool dark place. This pack has a minimum 6 months shelf life.
Try it with: Carrots, green beans, peas, cauliflower
1. In a medium-hot pan heat 1/2 tbsp of oil, add the pack along with 175g of finely diced vegetables (for ease, use a bag of frozen vegetables ). Mix well and cook for 2-3 mins.
2. Add 200ml of cold water, a pinch of salt and bring to the boil.
3. Cover with a tight-fitting lid and cook on a low heat for 10 minutes (without lifting the lid).
4. Remove from the heat whilst keeping the lid on, leave to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
5. Season well and garnish with toasted cashew nuts or almonds.
