Broccoli with Roasted Cumin and Garlic (Upkari)

A Goan dish called 'upkari' meaning chilli and salt.

Serves: 4 | Suitable for vegetarians

Broccoli with Roasted Cumin and Garlic (Upkari)

Instructions

  1. Cut the broccoli into bite-sized pieces and keep aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and add the garlic and chilli.
  3. Fry till the garlic browns slightly, then add the cumin and the broccoli.
  4. Fry for 30 seconds, then add a little water to stop it burning and continue to fry till the broccoli is tender.
  5. Season with salt.
