Chickpea Chaat
This dish is nice for a summer buffet or as part of a light lunch.
Instructions
- Mix together the chickpeas, carrot, onion and lemon juice.
- In a small frying pan, heat the oil and fry the cumin and onion seeds for 1-2 minutes until the cumin seeds start to brown. Pour this over the chickpeas and stir in.
- Add the tamarind chutney, coriander and salt and mix well. Give it a taste and add more chutney/coriander/salt to suit your tastes.
- Sprinkle generously with sev just before serving
